It has been so busy around here! Jean was home a lot this week - and Louis had a "sick" day (which he totally exaggerated- spent the whole day watching TV and running around outside) which means I wasn't off the clock all too often and didn't have time to blog (or exercise, or catch up with friends or sleep). Now the bummer is I want to tell you about the week but thats impossible. So here are a few pictures to help me.

This is Sam the Pompier (fireman) he is very popular with Jean and Jean has acquired many Sams (as seen in their various attire here). In total, I believe there are 10 Sams somewhere in this house. There are always a few in the bathtub, some in the car, scattered around the livingroom and almost always one in my pocket. I have started a little game of gathering all the Sams I can find and putting them together somewhere- I originally thought this would be fun for Jean to find- but it turns out I get a lot more amusement out of it than he does. Last week I put all of the Sams climbing in his shoes- I had a good chuckle but Jean just grabbed them without a second glance and began playing. Oh well. |

This is what Jean looks like when I told him he had to wait until we got home to eat the baguette in my hand. |

I finally finished this stupid puzzle. Two pieces are missing which is likely due to a certain 2 year old but what can you do? |
I tried to take a selfie with Jean but couldn't get him to smile.
I asked him to say "cheese" - which he did...but still never smiled.

I was playing hide and go seek with Justine and Louis - this is a picture from my spot under the coffee table. They always find me pretty quickly because there simply aren't that many places to hide when you are my size. They are constantly climbing into drawers and under chairs..etc. My best spot so far was when I laid on the floor and just put a blanket over myself. Justine still found me pretty quickly but at least she thought it was hilarious. |

The kids have begun a new game of Doctor's office (those signs guide to the front desk and OR). I arrive with a Patient (babydoll, dinosaur, Mr. Potato Head...etc) and give them all the intake info (age, problem, whether or not this issue is an emergency) then they take my patient and perform surgery. Justine said to me "I don't know for sure, because I am just a secretary. but I believe your Lizard will only have to be here for three days." This girl has clearly been to the doctor a couple of times. However, my Feminism took over and I asked the kids why exactly Louis was the doctor and Justine was the secretary to which they explained that Louis wants to be a veterinarian so it makes more sense for him to be the doctor- this made me feel a little better until I learned Justine wants to be an Anesthesiologist. |

On Friday night we had cheese for dinner, 7 different ones. We followed a precise order and drank 3 different wines to accompany the cheeses. It was pretty awesome |

This is a huge bag full of socks. Laetitia collects all of the socks without matches and at the end of the month she goes through them and finds their pairs. I don't know why this particular ritual is so funny to me but it is. |

Took a great 4-mile run along the boardwalk on Saturday- I took a pano shot for you to enjoy! It was a beautiful day!
Saturday night Laetitia was complaining about cooking but she didn't want to order food in. I saw some peppers and said "I can make fajitas!" She responded "Oh yea, fajitas are easy I'll do that!" Thinking that meant she was going to make them I said, " Oh okay, well I can make guacamole," and proceeded to give them a list of needed ingredients. Around 7:30 I went downstairs and it turns out we had guests over- and Christophe said- "I cut the chicken for you!" I hadn't realized it but they were waiting on me the whole time- I thought I was just making guacamole! Whoops! Anyway, I made some pretty kickin guacamole, then I made fajitas then I made tacos for 7 adults. And everyone ate up. Mexican food is not super common here- unlike the in States where I eat Mexican weekly. The more common ethnic food here is Moroccan- which is excellent! |
That puzzle got each of those characters perfectly.
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!! Scott loves Sam the Fireman ( the few episodes we've found on netflix.)
