Less than a month

I'm in a bit of a weird place...France has become normal to me now (in that I've adjusted to all of the abnormalities) so it's feeling pretty usual- but my reality is going to change again in less than a month.  Now I'm constantly torn in between wanting more time here and counting down the days to my American return (27)... anyway- here are some pictures of my last few days
Took a shopping trip in Rennes- a bigger city about an hour from here
- we've been here multiple times for doctors appts, airport trips..etc
but I only just learned there is a whole old city centre.  Laetitia had a meeting but
I went with her and her friend, Fany,
 and we spent some
time shopping and eating around the area while Laetitia was busy.
It was a pretty great day! (But, of course, it rained)
Jean is working on using the potty- snapped this
shot while he reading and um...waiting
Jean and I spent all day together alone on Friday and I
think it was great for us! We had a great day and he has
been especially sweet to me ever since.  I built him this
interpretation of the Eiffel Tower. Later, Christophe saw it and
asked me not to be an architect...fair enough
I build him this Firetruck too
he played with it for a minute before ditching it
for this real (pre-made) Firetruck
We took this selfie
Then we played with some playdough and made
him some escargot
I also made him this cool birds nest
which he promptly rolled into a big ball of color.
He then claimed this ball was a Bonbon and tried
to eat it.
I couldn't get him to stop eating the playdough
so I gave him actual candy...this was the reaction. I
think he liked it
On Saturday I drove into St Malo alone for some shopping.  St Malo
has some beautiful sights - this is just one of them and it was an overcast day
use your imagination to picture it sunny
had lunch at a Japanese restaurant
I  love eating different country's food in different places, it is never the same.
This was delicious!
On Saturday we had a little dinner party
(almost always do on the weekend but the guests differ)
And they served these tiny bagel sandwich appetizers
They were too adorable not to take a picture.
I put my hand in there for scale for you!
