I finally took a run! The weather, the very slim roads, the crazy schedule and the fact that it is dark until 9am here isn't really conducive to running but I finally got to go out on Monday morning and get in a good 5k (yea, if I have to use the metric system so do you). I've been spending a lot of time with Jean (2) lately - he goes back and forth on loving me and hating me...but I think (hope) that is every 2 year old. In the morning he wants nothing to do with me but as the day goes on and he realizes I'm the only one left to play with we becomes friends again.
Have you ever been sitting still and thought, "Wow, I'm actually watching my life go by. These are precious seconds I will never get back"...no? Well I have. Literally everyday while Jean is in the bath. It's an hour long affair with him- and the moment I pull him out the screaming and crying begins. Monday's bath took a particularly long time because the bath tube wouldn't fill up...I kept thinking "Man, it seems like this is taking forever today." As it would turn out, I had forgotten to put the stop in the drain. Things sped up a bit when I remembered that little bit.
