Finding my replacement

So it turns out I only have 30 days left here - and so the search for my replacement has begun.  They are not exclusively looking for Americans just anyone that can speak French or English fluently- there are lots of Spanish and Colombian girls applying.  However, we found it particularly funny when an American girl emailed us because she is 23, starts medical school in August, is from Miami, has a degree in Psychology and doesn't eat red meat....sound like anyone you know?  Her profile went on and on about her traveling experiences and childcare experiences - We joked that she was far too perfect and she was probably a model too. Alas, when we were skyping her tonight we found out she really is a model and we all had a hard time not laughing.  As it turns out, even though she seems really great, none of us liked her.  Laetitia and Christophe said she was too interested in the location and not interested enough in the children - oh well.  Laetitia proclaimed "I'm going to my Colombian!"

Played with some Playdough with John- after taking this pic I realized we were
playing with the toy that got Playdough in all the trouble
check out the story if you don't get, or..um..see, the reference

Justine and I are doing great in our English/French lessons
Louis still cries and pitches a fit everytime

Laetitia is teaching me how to drive stick shift.  She said I did great for my first
day but I, respectfully, disagree.  Also, thanks Dad for refusing to teach me all those years.
Without driving manual I am pretty much immobilized here - Laetitia starts work next
week and wants me to be able to pick up the kids and things....not sure why she waited
until my last month to teach me through...

Got the kiddos from school for lunch. They stay home from 12-130 for their lunch break.
Then school lets out at 3:00- AKA they are only in school for 4.5 hours ...oh to be French
(also - Check out Louis in this picture and refer to previous post)

  3. When you typed "Jean" as "John" I was able to finally confirm I was pronouncing it correctly on my head. And it made me chuckle.
