Goodbye tonsils, hello freedom!

This morning at breakfast I shared the "Left Shark" (or 'gauche requin') phenomenon with the family. They got as much of a kick out of it as America seems to.  I'm glad I prepped them because Christophe said he later heard these words on the radio, "America is a paradise these days! Here in France we have an ugly, old president who is worried about terrorism.  But in the United States, they have the world's most handsome president and their biggest concern is about the Left Shark!" .....I'm not sure I agree that Obama is the world's most attractive president but the comment gave me a good laugh.  This shark stupidity is even making news in France! Thursday morning Justine is having her tonsils taken out...and while this is unfortunate and not ideal for her....it means I have a whole day to myself!!! (And yes I realize my excitement is terrible and selfish but I'm not a mom yet so I'm still allowed to say stuff like that.) The boys will be at school until 430! I having been excitedly planning my solitude...I plan to have a nice long breakfast, maybe enjoy two cups of coffee, go for a nice run, do some laundry, take a long shower....gosh...it will definitely be a good day.  The funny thing is I am psyched for the alone time and Laetitia and Christophe are worried about it.  Christophe even apologized that he had a meeting and wouldn't be able to come home for lunch...I assured him that this was not a problem and that I promise I know how to make myself food. But really, these are good good people.
