I survived two weeks straight of kids at home! Well, kind of. It's only Wednesday but on Thursday we are leaving for Paris so the week is basically over. In Paris, the family (minus Jean who is staying here with his Aunt) and I are staying at different hotels and I have a whole little mini-vacation to myself! This is the trip I initially asked for your opinions on. I was originally planning on leaving the country and exploring but since I've done London already that left me very few places to explore where I could speak the language (something I'm okay with when I'm not alone). I definitely want to get to Spain and Italy but it won't happen in this trip - because I'd like to do it with a friend and I'm flying solo here in France. Anyway, Thursday I'm headed to Paris! I took a few pictures of how we passed the time on Tuesday and Wednesday - I was lucky that the weather was beautiful both days (48 and sunny - and the sun is a rarity here) which lead to some fun outside time.

| On Tuesday, we worked on this puzzle some more - it is seriously difficult. 500 pieces is too many |
 |
| We found some boxes and I decided we would turn them into rollerskates/shoes and have races with them around our feet |
 |
| So of course, we had to decorate them. The races lasted for a while but eventually we raced through a puddle and our boxes didn't hold up. |

| Louis loves Pokemon and my [parent's] Netflix membership gives me the ability to produce Pokemon at any time...therefore, Louis believes I am a god. I have found ways to use this power, I trade him things with Pokemon currency "Okay, you do English for 30 minutes and you can watch Pokemon for 30 minutes" or "If you sit quietly and play with Jean you can have 10 minutes of Pokemon later!" It has been incredible. Seriously, a superpower (Thanks for the membership, mom ;] ) |

A newspaper movie review of the new Spongebob movie, or "Bob the Sponge." I will never understand why they choose to translate some movie titles but not others. Spongebob = Bob l'eponge Snow White and the 7 Dwarves = Blanche Neige et Sept Naines Cars = Cars. WHAT? Thats the easiest one to translate! And the French word for 'car' is nothing like 'car'! It's 'voiture'! Sigh. |

| On Wednesday, I gave up on this Puzzle. Yea, I said it. I gave up. And I am totally at peace with my decision. Look at that sky! All those stupid inside pieces look exactly the same. Justine wasn't exactly bummed when I said we could stop- I think I was more into the whole puzzle thing than her - I guess I'll put that in the boringthingsadultsenjoy box. |

I assembled this new scooter for Jean today. Too bad it was the worst manufactured scooter ever! That metal rod you see sticks out way past the wheel- terrible design. And yes, smart-alecs, I am sure I put it together correctly. Online reviews reflected my opinions.
Thats it until Paris- don't worry my hotel has wifi! Bonne Nuit! |
Your so welcome for the Netflix!!
